My VLOOKUP does not work in Excel (though it seems to work in Google Sheets). I have an internet-linked query on worksheet 'Strokes Gained' that can't be edited. I need the VLOOKUP on the 'Master Spreadsheet' to draw from this internet-linked query table. I then need this to refresh frequently using a timer, and then send me a notification if any changes have been made to the source code, letting me know that the website has been updated.. Could you help me with this? So far I have recorded a macro which pulls in the web data and have got that on a timer, but every time it runs the web info is put in a new column, rather than refreshing the old info.... Is it possible in a spreadsheet to enter the first date of any month (mm/dd/yy) in a column that has 31 cells and Excel (I'm guessing with the help of a formula) automatically filling in the rest of the days that are in that month only? For example, if I put 02/01/2017, will Excel only fill in the number of days for February without proceeding to the next few days of the next month?

Hello I'm trying to make a fretboard fraction calculator. Here's what I have so far: On The left ore the open string tunings expressed as fractions I have a 3/2 being added to each of the open strings (by multiplying each integer) and then using the the GCD function to reduce the fraction. So 3/2 + 5/4 = 15/8. Or 3/2 + 4/3 =2/1. So far everything is working fine. But In these fractions the numerator is always larger than, but cannot be more than twice the denominator. So if 3/2+7/4 =21/8. I simply need to multiply the denominator by 2. 3/2+7/2=21/8, 8*2=16 =21/16. How can I get excel to double the denominator ONLY if the numerator is twice as much and leave it alone if it is not. 3/2+5/4=15/8 good *2=15/16= bad. I need to have the result in the same excel boxes not different ones. Thanks for any possible help -Matt
